Burying meat

Always fancied trying it and have seen it on the tv but has anyone tried burying meat, with hot coals/rocks?

We do a barbacoa cabeza with both beef and goat (different spicing).

Great way to cook.

Have done a couple of Lechon style pigs with hot rocks.

I have seen it with pigs. I believe the hawaiians wrap a whole pig in banana leaves and bury it for 8 hours. Mmm.
