Two Firsts

Finally worked out a way of posing photos so can be more active

Rainy day yesterday but both BBQs on. Low and slow ribs a trial cooked five hours and glazed near the end using ready made Jack Daniels Glaze thinned with some cider vinegar. Really pleased with outcome but surprised how much charcoal was used -probably due to cheap briquettes. Need to go through this bag then get some Heat Beads from Toby. Sadly three ribs went in the bin although they were great too full after the leg of lamb shown here.

saw a recipe posted on here - sorry forgot who posted it- linked to a BBC recipe and bought a lamb leg yesterday deboned it myself easy really. My dogs loved me as they has the bone and then on the BBQ medium high and into pittas

A really good day despite the weather.

I am new to this so suggestions what to try next please?????

3 ribs in the bin???? eh? strip them chop the meat up, put on some bbq sauce and fridge, next day ping them in the microwave and put them in an bap.......

How about an fatty? or an pork shoulder? Just promise you wont throw the leftovers.....

Fatties are most nourishing and cannot aid weight loss even as part of an calorie controlled diet.

Firstly get good streaky bacon, and make an weave, ie a lattice over and under arrangement.
Then apply a goodly layer of quality sausage meat
Then select some kind of nourishing core, cooked garlic mushroomes, jalepenos and cheese, chorizo, crumbled black pudding you get the jist.
Then roll and wrap the thing up such as you have an bacon outer sausage based arrangement, put this on your smoker and keep going until you have crispy bacon, nicely cooked sausage and the core of choice is piping hot.

If you have an early start for an all day cook this is the ideal breakfast BBQ....

That looks good - well done for braving the weather and for taking the pictures. it's always nice to see the end results. The link to the BBC was from me - I think it's a decent recipe and something that all the kids enjoy

I see my mistake. So I had a little lamb left put it in some gravy from yesterday's Sunday dinner warmed it up and served with chips. Absolutely fabulous.

Nothing more into the bin promise. Going to get some decent sausage meat from the local butcher this weekend and try Fattys
