I'm dieting too but just staying away from carbs. Fat is a better energy source than carbs anyway. Hence some lovely meat with roasted veg...no beans, potato, slaw in sight :P

My body needs carbs to function, least of all because a lack of them makes me tired and very grumpy. I'm currently on a cutting diet as part of a bigger, leaner, stronger program created by Mike Matthews, it's a no BS program with all of the recommendations backed up by science (including references), as an Engineer/Scientist this appeals to my inner geek and I'm getting good results, already lost 4% body fat without losing any size, basically I've kept my weight constant by adding muscle and losing fat. Whilst the scarifice is not eating blowout BBQ for 2 months for me it's worth it, still use my Egg but just to grill lean meats.
