WSM 22" lid

Postby AndyHull » 08 Nov 2013, 09:39

Hi all,

Just been reading another thread that had a very nice pic in it.
What i noticed was that the WSM 22" lid id much taller/deeper/higher than the 22" weber kettle lid.

Does anyone know if the WSM lid will fit on the Weber kettle of equal size?

I ask as if this is the case it would give greater head room to cook bigger beercan chickens!

Thanks

Andy

The lid on the OTP fits OVER the lower part.
The lid on the WSM fits IN the lower part.

It was one of the reasons I went for the WSM, to be able to move pieces around. Very disappointed. :(.

To cook my BCCs or CCCs. I place the chicken on the coal grate and have the coals to either side.

Right i see.

I have made myself ring with a seperating plate out of aluminium chequer plate, it sits on the coal grate and just touches the grill grate.
I set my coals all the way round the outside of the ring around the kettle so i get a 360dgr ring of coals leaving a circle in the middle of the kettle about 15"dia which is free space so i could easilly put the chicken/s in there!
never thought of putting them on coal grill as thats where my anti temprature fluctuation brick goes

I would put some pics up but don't have a pic account (don't want one either) as we keep all our picson an external hard drive (etc)

Thats what im saying, i don't want a photobucket (etc) account, i don't want my pics storing on the net! :o

Just me being suspiciouse but i heard these sorts of accounts are aloud to use your pics if they choose to for advertising and 3rd party purposes.
It's in the terms and conditions as far as i am aware!

I used to put pics on another (gardening :geek: ) forum i went on by linkijng them straight from my computer but that stopped due to server size or something! :?

It's funny that you say this and then post a Facebook link, seeing as this whole issue came about due to Facebook changing Instagram's privacy policy when they bought it to fall in line with FB's existing rules.

If you read Photobucket's rules they're very explicit about the fact that your photo's remain yours
