Recommend a rub to buy in UK?

Postby MattJaySmoker » 07 Nov 2013, 22:15

So far I've tried butt rub, kills bbq and made my own rub once which was similar to those 2.

What rubs are people using at the moment that you've managed to buy from uk websites that either make their own or import from America?

I really like butt rub, just appeals to me. Another site that imports stuff is: http://www.bbqdryrubandsauce.co.uk/products.aspx

I quite like it myself too. Just find the spicy kick to it is a little bit over the top for a bbq flavour. Think I'm after more sweet and smokey flavours for ribs and butts.

The spicy stuff can wait for the chicken wings and lamb kofte in the summer :D

If you had posted this a day earlier I would have put a sample in with your charcoal!! I have a few products that i am looking to market and will get a sample out to you. For anyone coming to Guy Fawkin, all the food I cook will be using my own rubs and sauces for a proper test run.

Ah damn it. Yep feel free to send any samples, I'm trying to smoke every weekend at the moment as I'm new to it so will have plenty of opportunity to try out.

I'll look up guy fawkin and see what it's all about

Put me down for some too :D

I like making my won but need to start trying a few different ones to see if I am missing out on something. I liked Butt Rub and started adding ground Chipotle to try to copy elements of it.

I tried a few of the Stubbs rubs but never really liked any of them
