Just a quick poll - what are you paying for meat?

Pork shoulder - bone-in
Whole Brisket
Pork ribs (fresh or frozen)
Beef ribs - flat or jacobs ladder?

Ok, so roughly £5/kg for pork shoulder, and 2.20/kg for the ribs.

As a matter of interest, I took some pictures of the ribs on offer at booker last time I was there:

Yeah, I get the white box with 202 on it, the yellow box I bought had three and half racks of ribs, each rack was nearly 3kg EACH

This was a rack from the yellow box (£30)

Bone in shoulder £3 / kg
Brisket £4.90 / kg
Ribs @ £3 per rack

All from local abattoir. Have built up a decent relationship with them, they know me when I go in and will even deliver when I spend over £50

That's some decent prices, especially as I'm guessing the meat is all British.

Must be a big abbatoir to sell meat as well. The ones I used for my pigs just did the slaughtering and butchering.

You're Stoke-On-Trent way are you Saucy Pig?

I buy from a nearby butcher - High Street Meat Market. I was very surprised it was so cheap when I first went down, as it's in the middle of a big shopping centre (next to a very large fishmongers, also equally well priced!)
