Booker Card

Postby Tyrone1Wils » 16 Jul 2013, 15:19

Hi guys,

May be a stupid question, but to get a Booker card do you need to have your own business etc? or is there any other way.

There is one literally 5 minutes away and it would be perfect for meat and charcoal for my smoker that I'm building.

No, I joined online, I have yet to take 3 forms of ID to get the card, but am planning to do so shortly.

If I go online it says "If you are a Business or a Charity, why not register...." So I assumed you had to be one of the former to join?

I just imagined that I was in the process of starting up a business and clicked the business button

Haha I done the same but it seems like when you have to take ID you need details of your business like an invoice and bank statements so looks like that option is off of the cards

hi
I signed up online, im a self employed tiler.
I emailed the manager the next day and said I think I made a mistake as Im not in catering but was home smoking food etc and he called the next day saying its fine just come in and get my card.
I took 3 bits of id but they didn't even look at them, just took the number they give you off the computer with me and that was it.
Think they might be struggling as the one I go to, every time ive been there its nearly empty, although I haven't been many times there is always plenty of parking near the doors and the Costco I use down the road from them is always rammed full of people.

Anyway hope that helps you decide what to do

Booker is always empty - especially compared to Costco.

Anyone can be a 'business' in the form of a sole proprietor. There is no special registration or forms to be one.
