cheap meat thermometer

Postby mart321 » 12 May 2013, 19:55

Im after a cheap thermometer to keep an eye on the brisket pork and chicken I've been cooking on my Weber kettle but i don't want to pay £50+ for a thermopen. Is there any cheap alternatives. That don't do a bad job.

I heartely recommend the eBay thermopen, they are usually the splashproof (ideal for the UK BBQ season) and IF they are refurbed they are so well done it's hard to believe they aren't brand new.
Save your pennies and get a thermopen, even refurbed they carry a superb guarantee and certificate of calibration. If you buy cheap you buy often ;)

there is no alternative I'm afraid. Otherwise you will end up buying one later.
