Igrill Thermometer (advice needed please)
Morning all,
thinking about purchasing an Igrill therm but begrudge paying £30-40 for an additional probe.
Anyone know if there are other probes out there that would work?
I read somewhere that probes are calibrated against the unit and therefore might not work on others...any truth in this?
Lastly and I know there's already been discussions on here regarding Igrill V Maverick...any more professional thoughts before I part with my hard earned?
Thank you,
John

When you look at the cost of the iGrill compared to the cost of a Maverick i feel the Maverick offers much better value for money.

Re: Igrill Thermometer (advice needed please)
Given feedback I've had from iGrill owners, I would avoid them like the plague. In fact the only person I've heard being openly positive about them was also sponsored by them...
Mavericks have their own issues, discussion of which can be found dotted around in these forums but they are used by a lot of people (myself included).
My understanding is that ETI will be launching a dual probe Bluetherm later this year and I reckon that will be the daddy of dual probe pit thermos.
I disclose upfront I have a relationship with ETI, however you only have to look at the reputation of Thermapens around the world to realise that if ETI are building a pit probe it's likely to be excellent.
