generosity from the states!

Post by oddsocks »

just a little aside here, i have been chatting to a guy from tenessee on the 'friends of the wsm' facebook page and was explaining how hard it was to get a good choice of rubs at our supermarkets, and last week i got a package in the post (postage $46) that contained amongst others butt rub, john henry's brisket rub, swamp venom, bobbies, stubbs, obie cue and rendezvous. i emailed to thank him and ask how much i owed him and all he said was 'it's a gift, spread the love'.

i have never been on the receiving end of such selfless generosity, and it's really moved me. cant wait to get the oven fired up. if you use that page, look up ken wood, he's a diamond.

Nice to hear that the BBQ world is still full of PLAB.

You know what I love hearing stories like that. There's too many self-serving, out for themselves type around these days. It's nice to hear of someone spreading the love rather than just talking about it!!!

I'm sure that dude's BBQ karma is well in the black :)

You never know he may just turn up on your doorstep one day!

Seriously, that's a cool thing to do.
