Will have to give that a whirl, has it opened yet?

I went to Barbecoa for the first time on Saturday Doc and man it was everything i hoped for, the Ribs were delish i real nice smokey flavour and the burger was out of this world, i couldn't move afterwards, i even rejected another beer (which is unheard of).

This is all music to my ears!

My birthday is next week, and we have a table for 8 booked for this Saturday lunchtime. Am really looking forward to it, but I know I am going to be like a kid in a sweet shop when it comes to deciding.

As I may have mentioned in the past, I am not normally a rib man, and will probably be doing either the pit beef or pork shoulder for the main course, but I have been told the baby rib starter is good. Anyone tried that?

What are the portion sizes like? Considering that many of the others will probably be going for steak (heathens), would it be completely over the top to order both the beef and pork? Perhaps if I promise to give some of it away?

Its one of those places where you should do it anyway utilising the standard reasoning "And we will have a portion of pulled pork for the table", managed to get a fair few pulled pork servings at the Big Feastival last year, lent Adam my FEC's, it was certainly a fair swap

Sounds good. I think I will do that - order some pulled pork for the table, some sides, and enough portions of ribs that everyone gets at least one. Then I'll probably go for the pit beef, myself, and other folk can order what they like.

I had the baby ribs, lovely and smokey, although a little spicy (not for me, but everyone on our table had a taster) and i did struggle with my main (and i can pack it away). I'd also recommend the Pork Scratchings with Chipotle sauce, that was a nice to nipple on whilst we waited for our drinks.

These places sound so good to me, shame they're in London and not nearer.

Apologies - forgot about this thread, and reposted -

Ben and myself were invited by the team down at Pitt Cue Co (Tom / Neil and the rest of the team) to attend their practise servings this week in preparation for their opening on the 16ht January. They are a great bunch of lads, working in tough / cramped conditions, but they really turned it on and prodcued some amazing results. Definately the best Q' in central london at the price point. Support Q' restaurants and do yourself a favour, the beef ribs and the Burnt end mash are really worth a feeding
