Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been covered somewhere already but I can't use the search function to save my life, it keeps saying no results or too common words. Anyway, I am looking for some cast iron grill grates for my 45 gallon oil drum grill as I want to get the awesome grill lines on the food. At the moment I have 4mm chromed grill grates and they don't really leave marks on the food that well. I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that makes cast iron or even thick mild steel grills as mine are going to be a weird size for them, the drum is about 22 inches wide and 32 inches long so even made up of or more sections its a weird size for sure.
Any ideas?
Also if you think this post should go somewhere else then please suggest a better place
Thanks

You could always fake the grill marks.
Make a section up from the right size steel rod, Leave it close to the fire, Steaks are branded SIZZZZZZZZZZZLE!

I can confirm that works, even in some of the best restaurants, chains or otherwise!!!!!Smokey Toad wrote:You could always fake the grill marks.

You could buy some nice round skewers, heat them in a gas flame or blow-torch and apply as needed.
Yes it's a cheap-cheat,
