Individual ribs vice a Rack?
Hi, I normally get my ribs from makro but they were out so I ordered some from tesco. However they turned up as individual ribs rather than a rack. They did refund me so very happy with that. My question is, should I just cook them the same way I would do a rack? I presume they would just cook slightly quicker.???? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

You can get whole racks but you have to ask for them from the butchers counter.
I would cook the same but keep a close eye as they will cook more quickly.
Sounds like you had a result though with the money back.
I've always found them to be good.

I would try to keep temp really low (just in the smoke zone -225f) and do them for as long as poss without burning them. They will have the membrane on the back still which you'd normally remove if doing a full rack. I suspect if you try to remove that from individual ribs the meat may come with them so you'll need to leave that on. My guess is that you'll want to try and do them until the meat is practically falling off...hence as long as poss on low temp.
I am just guessing here though as I've never tried the individual ribs myself.

Just think of it as that you can put them back in if not done enough, but once dry and burnt you are knackered!
