The coarcoal he uses is coconut coarcoal. He is based in the Netherlands I believe.

Well any container that has plenty air-vents at the bottom will do, but proper chimney starters have nicely heat-shielded handles which make picking them up easier.

Indeed - there is always the deluxe option - but it shows what can be done with a bit of ingenuity, and at very low cost.

They can be found prett cheaply these days, saw them in Tesco for a tenner. Bought mine three years ago, weber jobby for twenty quid, and it was a very good investment
