Primal Grill

Post by rding »

Watched a couple of episodes on the Good Food Channel over the last couple of nights think its on at 5.30 just after Man V Food.
Some interesting recepies including a coffee based sauce and rub. He also cooks using different grills including a Traeger and I have also seen various smokers and grills in the background of the set. The host of the show is a guy called Steven Raichlen.
Think its just given me a push to try find a Brisket for the weekend.

The first couple of episodes you watch are good especially given all the different units he uses, one of them is a UDS which is novel for TV. After a while though you will want to put it on mute, there's only so many times you can hear about the knot he learnt from a student who was a surgeon!!

I am sorry but he does my head in! its just his voice its like he only has one tone and has no feeling in his voice, plus if he says "look at the cross hatch marks" once more am going to explode.
On a possitive note some of the ideas he has are ok, but in future think i am going to hit the mute button and put the subtitles on.

Licence to grill is ok, but diners drive-ins and dives with Guy is great. He is like what Jamie O used to be with passion and love for food, get some great ideas of him, with some 'bad boy' stuff.
