Hi All,
I came across this box whilst surfing a couple of months ago and forgot all about it but joining this forum refreshed my memory. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of the chinese box or Caja China as it is known. Seems to be popular in Miami and looking at the following video I can see why, nice crackling!!!
Not sure what category of cooking it would come under but it seems to work.

Re: La Caja China
I was thinking about making one as there are no suppliers in the UK. If I ever get the time that is!!DrSweetsmoke wrote:Gotta love a good ol' Cajun microwave.![]()
They are fairly simple to cook on and last for years.
Have you cooked on one before?

Re: La Caja China
Burntwood,
I have three of the four models of La Caja China, and use them all the time. I've written two cookbooks specifically designed for the roasting boxes, and maintain a website with a Q&A, recipes, and lots of tips.
Happy to answer any questions you have, here or on my blog!
La Caja China has a very active Facebook page, as well.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
