Has anyone here ever used BundleBox before for shipping over BBQ sauces & rubs?

I'm just about to give it a go but when i go to the item description part it doesn't really have a suitable category for me to use.

The nearest I’ve seen is for Chilli sauce am i ok to just put it down as that or do i need to list all of the items individually?

Also it might sound a silly question but are any BBQ rub's or sauces banded in the UK?

I have never used it, but I was recommended it by a US Vet I assessed a couple of months back.

I'm not sure what you mean by banded but you will pay VAT at 20% on the total value of your order when it is shipped. Usually the courier demands payment before delivery.

I have used bundlebox. A relatively painless affair and useful for high value items, but as a Adie pointed out you get charged VAT on the product & or import duties. You must really want it to get it shipped out, because shipping & duties add up.

Surely rubs and sauces are foodstuffs, and therefore should be zero rated for VAT? Certainly "culinary herbs and spices" sold in the UK are zero rated - I don't see why the same shouldn't be so if bought from outside the UK.

(Provided, of course, that this is made absolutely clear on the sender's customs declaration.)

Yes, that was what I was referring to when I said "culinary herbs and spices" are zero-rated. As I say, I don't see why this shouldn't be the case whether you are buying them in ASDA, or importing from Uncle Sam's BBQ Supplies.

Well the package arrived really quickly compared to other times i've had stuff sent across. I guess that's the difference between using Fedex rather than USPS.

No VAT was charged on what i ordered but i think i was charged VAT on the shipping? But hey what i ordered arrived very quickly and overall i'm quite happy with it.

That would be correct, then - VAT is charged on the value of the goods, plus the transport costs, plus any duty.

In this case, the goods were zero rated, I am pretty sure they duty would have been nil, but the transport costs would be taxed at standard rate.
