I would go for any of the Obie rubs, the sweet works well on chicken and ribs, Cimeron Docs is also very good, i am sure you will get numerous suggestions but I am going to make another slightly off topic, if you fancy a great steak, try and get to charlies steakhouse, it was quite pricey but it was amazing!
Have a good trip,

Sauces, get yourself some Blueshog also look up Jimmy Brod at Smoking Cracker, he'll be able to ship you some Spicewine sauces and rubs to your hotel. Jimmy's Everglades seasoning is also really nice, although I use it for soups rather than BBQ.
I'd also recommend picking up Slabs rubs and Smoking guns if you can. With the smoking guns buy the hot one, it's not that hot at all but is the best of their range.

God I love the American way of eating. Here in the UK we seem to be moving towards Europe and fine dining more. Hard to find a good restaurant, diner in the UK that sells big flavours and big quantities.
