I received my new thermapen the other day and there are a few improvements.

360 display, the display rotates to the way you're holding it. up,down,left or right.
motion sensor, when open, put it down and it times out(sleep mode). Pick it up and it switches on again.
Low light sensor switches on the back light.
AAA battery.

I've yet to use it but as i'm left handed it should be easier.

Yes I saw an add for them Tuesday , only £50 at the mo. Sounds quite handy and I like the idea of sleep till you pick it up. I hate keep folding it in and out to switch back on.

Nice improvements by the sound of it. Will have to put one on my Christmas list
