long grate hooks

Hi Guys

What do you guys use as hooks to drop in and take out the coal basket in a UDS?
I have seen a couple of coal hooks/rakes on EBay but they are not really hooks and I don't want to drop a hot basket. It looks like boot hooks with wood handles would be a better job but the ones I've seen are only very short

Yeah if you want.a facial peel. not the best thing to bend inside a uds with hot coals????
