Where do you recommend buying smoking wood chunks in the UK?

Do most of you buy online or can this be located locally at timber yards?

Thirded, Paul is a very nice chap and i source all my wood through him also, i just buy a big box full every few months. He'll often have some new interesting types, this time i have orange, plum, walnut & chestnut, he always tends to have oak, apple & cherry in stock.

Check local tree surgeons before you order anything online! I picked up a 30kg net of seasoned cherry logs for £8 delivered. Deals like that cannot be beaten

Problem is, the logs are way too big, so unless you have a band saw you've got to stick to buying ready cut chunks.

I have a splitting axe and a hand saw, it's not much work to split a log and cut it into decent sized bits
