Ah that doesn't sound too bad. I'll pick some up next time I'm passing. Thanks for the reply.BRUN wrote:well I did some ribs using it last Saturday, they cooked for 4 hours, and then a chicken went in for a few hours, they were still glowing when I closed all the vents, the pieces could do with being a bit bigger, but for a fiver and the convenience of it, its worth keeping a bag in, and id definitely use it again for shorter cooks like ribs etc
Which charcoal ?

my bag has got some tiny pieces in, don't expect perfection for a fiver, but as I said it seemed to last ok from what I wanted out of it and as its from Tesco its easy to get hold of

Re: Which charcoal ?
Last year I ordered 4 15KG bags of ACH15 from BigK and it seemed to work well in both the WSM and Kettle. Starts well in a chimney starter although it does spit a bit. Minimum quantity is only 2 bags here at £16.99 per bag.
I've gone to re-order some but they're out of stock. They do have RCH15 and RCH12 in stock, I've asked for them to explain the difference to me... seems like the number might just be the bag weight, but not sure.
In the meantime I'm without fuel and I'm down on smoking wood as well so I'll have to drop Paul Goulden an email
