I have some 'bbq be quick' briquettes. Are the heat beads really worth the extra £?

I've used them from pretty early on so I guess it may just me liking having one less thing to worry about on long cooks - no top ups.

I've not used that many brands but I've just got some heat beads and they seem excellent - burn for ages with a really steady temperature and seemingly no fumes at all even when putting unlit ones in onto the hot coals.
