Quality BBQ Tools

Post by BrightonHobo »

Hi guys, can anyone recommend some quality BBQ utensils?

I have been looking at them in all the garden centres around me and they all seem very flimsy, even the webber and outback ones are.

Thanks

What tools are you looking for???

The only BBQ utensils i ever use are tongs and brushes and these i get from Wilko's, cheap and have done 3 yrs so far and still going.

Multiple sets of tongs are essential in IMHO. I've got Weber ones and they've been fine for me.

Other than tongs, I occasionally use a spatula for burgers (but could use tongs), then it's brushes for basting.

Skewers I still use bamboo,

I have two main pairs of tongs, one black handled one red, one is for raw food and one for cooking with. I have a spatula/burger flipper and some metal skewers plus a heap of stuff that gets used once in a blue moon. As Ed says you don't need to spend a fortune unless you really want to. With the NFL season coming up Charcoal Companion are selling a nifty 3 piece set with an American Football motif for between £40-£50  and they won't work any better than mine which cost around £6 each. Oh they also do golf motifs as well. ;)
