I'm not a mod but people (including me) have posted links on where to purchase things in the past. Suspect it is/may be an issue if someone was aggressively self-promoting.

Re: Uk BBQ
RobinC is right, posting links to sites is ok but you can't post a link to your own shop or a site you have a financial interest in. So post away.....please
PeanutZA compared to other forums (forae ?) the rules on here are quite relaxed, but there have to be rules to protect both the forum and the contributors. I joined a woodworking post a couple of years ago and it took around half a day for my daughter (!st Class Hons Degree in Computer Software design.....not relevant just a proud dad
) to rid my computer of all the inbedded links it dumped on me.

Keith has is right, you can post any links you want as long as you are not profiting from them. Its the only way to get an unbiased view. Some of the links you have posted are already mentioned numerous times and american sweets is on my doorstep!

Re: Uk BBQ
Ive been looking into making rubs, marinades etc aand if you look long and hard enough then money is there to be had. Even on a small start off budget. And next year I shall be starting it all off. I have also been busy researching making various types of smokers, grills and tsken the UDS and made a few different variations all of which in time I will make and test Nd probably put on weight in the testing part. Running businesses is in my families blood and we always keep our business cards close to our chest. All I will say is look hard and long enough and want it enougg and you will find a way.

Re: Uk BBQ
Its all about taking your time.. my grandad used to say you only get two things from rushing, black eyes and babies. I always just laughed at it. But he is right. He and my dad have ran a successful plastic recycling reprocessing company for 50 years. Im third generation. Things have changed to much and the industry is terrible unless you have thounds to invest which we don't. People with fat pockets came in and runied everyone.
I have always had a passion for food/cooking/eating and believe I can make money from this industry too. There arw so many channels to go down. Like it was said it takes money to make money. Im starting slow and steady doing rubs and what not. There are plenty of farmers markets about near me and the internet too. Once the money starts to build I will move onto bigger things.
I feel bad not sharing what I have found over the last 8 or 9 months.
