Hello All, Whitley Bay

Post by Ambleball »

Hello,
New to smoking and such so finding all the help very useful. Done my first full chicken and was amazed!
I had to text home to say I have left 'my bird' in he garden, my better half (for the "Lurking" many noted in earlier posts) said not to worry my bird would still be there when I got back from football! The whole family was so amazed how it turned out, as was I. Previous ventures into grilling and smoking earned me the title charcoal man and not for the heat source more for the finished products!! .

I have a WSM 57cm now and I am busy learning the ropes. Thinking of a true grill as second purchase as noted a lot of people have another for the sausages etc as a 'normal' BBQ. Perhaps a OTP?

Hope to help where I can and learn from you experts. Thank you

:D

A weber, or any quality kettle with a lid is an ideal companion piece, it can easily cope with most of you grilling needs, as well as being adaptable enough to cope with smoking.

Lovely part of the country to boot.
