New FEC120
New FEC120
Just ordered a FEC120 from a nice bloke at the american bbq company. Just wandering if any of you smokers out there have had any experience with one? I've got the bug real bad, so planning on doing weekend markets in the north east. Spray painter by trade, but you dont see a lot of old sprayers around. hoping to get out before my lungs collapse!

Many of the restaurants use the FEC's, I know that Pitt Cue Co use an FEC and many co's in the US use it. Speaking to John from BBQ Shack, he said its the best value for money smoker from a fuel perspective. FEC's are incredibly easy to use, hit the meat button (ie brisket/ribs etc) and off you go!

They are pretty simple to use, if i was choosing fora commercial premises I would go for electric or gas rather than pellets. Cookshack have the 200? havent looked at the range for awhile. Problem in the UK is always going to be support and until southern pride, ole hickory etc etc decide to enter the market you really only have one option.
I have been using the FEC100 ( i have 2) for 3 years and love them, buying and storing pellets is a pain in the a.. and when you see the big boys in the states using Ole Hickory and Southern Pride in their joints it has to be for a reason.
Although the FEC120's are fairly new I havent heard about the doors blowing off which seemed to be an anomaly for some people in the states using the 100's.

bought 1 after i started dabbling in catering but it was faulty and after being shipped various parts was sent a whole new unit with the additional parts needed to fix the first one! Cant bring myself to sell either, and will be focusing on a few new ventures next year where they will prove useful.
