It seems a good idea, but the postage oncosts are not cheap - 10lbs would cost $108 (about £70)

I know it's not cheap but international shipping isn't.
I ship items from the US to the UK quite often with work and that's about right on what FedEx / UPS will charge.
It's still cheaper than a return flight (although a lot less fun) which is the other option.
