Another Q200 user here. Your temps sound round about correct. I use it far more than I thought I would when I first bought. It's great for a simple direct grilling session. You can do indirect on it if you start using trays etc but to be honest I normally revert back to using a kettle as soon as the cook is anything more complicated than up to 20 mins direct heat
