Can't believe I've missed out on the first dry day for a month. Had to fly to San Diego for work today, bummer, still got a trip to the supermarket planned to pick up some essential supplies.

San Diego eh, well we still had some rain in Stevenage but spent the day cleaning the moss & weeds from the paving in the hope that this weekend will be dry

Bummer in not in to folk lore and legend etc but it was St Swithens day yesterday and for the last 5 years it's been correct for us in Devon, as it was dry at home I'm hoping it'll be right for a 6th year, although told its raining at home now. Can't believe it's 1am and I'm chatting about the rain again, god how British am I?!

Yep,
First grilling day in weeks and I missed it as well. When a man has 2 summer hobbies barbecue and cricket you need 2 dry days at the weekend. Had planned bbq sat but biblical rain precluded, so consoled myself by going to the supermarket and purchasing different bbq sauces, small victory I know.

Sunday saw a long day as I hiked up to Leamington Spa for Warks v Hampshire, at least we won and I bagged a couple of wickets. need 2 dry days again this weekend with bbq sat and cricket Sun, but with sun a t20 might finish in time for some evening chop related fast grilling action......fingers crossed!

Cheers

Sadly there are thousands of farmers and livestock growers in the US who'd have swapped a few of the hot days for our rain...................Where IS International Rescue when you need them, I'm sure Brains would have sorted something out

That sausage looks good. Have got my meat grinder, stuffer and now and some casings. Going to have a go this coming week.
