I guess I could drop it off when I'm in Bracknell (Head Office) - although out of preference I try to use the train... hauling 12kg bag(s) of clarcoal could solicit some strange looks!
Re: Charcoal advice please
Speaking as someone who works in Wakefield...I think I'd rather go and pick it up from Reading rather than Cass.nwaring wrote:From Reading... not that attractive... from Wakefield it's 15 minutes down the road

Re: Charcoal advice please
For those off on their holidays to France this year.....
Lumpwood charcoal (Charbon de bois) is common in the supermarkets and is priced at just over €1 per KG. But....
- intermarche stuff is rubbish. Burns hot but very very quick. Lots of small pieces and hardly any large;
- Carrefour Charbon de bois was labeled as 'combustion longue' and it lived up to it's name. After i bought it i realised it said hardwood (bois durs) on the back hence the longer burn times. Much larger pieces in it - fist sized and bigger. Reallygood stuff.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Simon,
I'm planning a day trip soon, will pick some up and have a dabble. Been using the 'blue bag' stuff from Makro the last few weeks, not entirely happy with it, not too many big chunks....maybe because of what Steve said about the problems in Namibia...
