Should I paint the Q?
Hi Guys
I'm thinking of applying some paint or another product to the inside of the off set to try and stop it from rusting. Does anyone have any recommendations on products that would be suitable, or has anyone carried out similar mods with any success?
I've seen plenty of heat resistant paint but dont know if this type of product would be safe to use on the inside, close to the food.
Cheers
Craig

inside ???? INSIDE !!! No don't do it, smoke and grease is the only thing you should need to keep it seasoned/coated and rust free.

Its a really cheap one from ebay (£50ish) so I've had to make some mods. After some advice from Aide, I've put a seal round the door, cos it was leaking like a sieve, and I'm on the lookout for some fire bricks to help hold the heat.
Cheers

I think they look good. I very nearly got one. Best of both worlds I guess as the frills look pretty decent in them.

It wasn't a stpid question, you didn't know and asked...
The REALLY STUPID question would have been "I've painted the inside of my BBQ and it's trashed......what went wrong?
