Saw it on the bretheren. I know aidie was always foiling the joins on his wsms when he used to compete on them but i never saw the point, i like to see the smoke lick round the edges of the door! Rock solid temperatures out of both cookers. However this does, for some reason, tempt me.

Anyone know where you can get the nomex and rutland 77 adhesive stuff in the uk? No doubt ill be needing a constant supply for use in ceramics anyway...

It's called Scotchweld 77 here, not Super 77, the formulation is slightly different to the US product to meet our legislation, it gives the same results though

Just checked the eBay listing out, you need to be careful not all Nomex is food safe, if it doesn't say it is then it's probably not

I'm not sure about a spray adhesive - isn't there massive overspill into the grill?

Didn't have any problems with over spray, the nozzle is fairly controllable and if you spray from inside to out any unwanted spray goes on the floor and not in the firebox or on the glaze, anything that lands on the lip of the egg will quickly burn off as the glue is latex based. One thing with the adhesive in a tube is it has a habit of setting like stone, from my own experience with wood burners and Rayburns it's better if the gasket is fixed on with something that will flex a little
