Hello from Wokingham
Hi Everyone,
been reading this forum for ages and finally joined. I have a Cadac Neoway 57" kettle (prob not the best buy of my life) which I am determined to get working as a smoked.
Did a little bit last year with big cuts of Pork (just the same cuts as you would normally slow roast in an over like pork belly) with some success. Today's was my first attempt at beer can chicken (or cider in a coke can to be more accurate) which was devoured by the family on the first sitting. Got a lump of pork shoulder (or "Butt" as I am learning") to have a go at tomorrow and will put some pics up if successful (and I can figure out how).
Wouldn't have got as far as I have with this if not for the forum so keep up the helpful posts and good eating everyone.

Welcome on board.
Glad you've enjoyed the forum and that it's helped. That's what it's here for and I think over the last three years it's grown into a really good place.
I'm just down the road from you in Earley. So if there's ever anything you need just shout. I'm always happy to help another BBQ addict out.

You have to start somewhere, don't forget to ask your wife if the food was worth the trouble.......I doubt she will say noRivierabbq wrote:ConorD wrote:Well I have definitely got the bug as was out at the BBQ at 6:30am this morning getting everything ready for the chicken even though it was technically my lie in day - got the "are you totally crazy" look from my wife......
