Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

I have just found large supply of Hawthorn; having previously used Oak Apple, Cherry, Ash I cannot find a reference to Hawthorn; although I am assured it is a hard wood.
Has anyone experience of Hawhorn?

Hi Mike,

I must admit I have never heard of it being used, it will be interesting to see if anyone else has.

Nope, not used it for cooking, although when we lived on the farm it was excellent on the open fire, burns really hot, really long but tends to crackle a lot.

Would be interested to know if it is useful for smoking with.
