Greetings from a Scotsman in Connecticut

Post by CT BBQ Scot »

Hi All,

I just wanted to drop a quick "hello" to the Forum members. My wife & I are both expats from the UK having been over this side of the Pond since 2003. We discovered KCBS thanks to season one of TLC’s BBQ Pitmasters and are so glad we did, ultimately becoming CBJ's in 2010. I stumbled across the British BBQ Society Forum after we were invited by the Contest Rep to join him at the Tony Stone Low & Slow BBQ Competition in Zanndam next month and was delighted to see that true BBQ has now got such a strong dedicated following back home. We had hoped to meet some of our European BBQ brethren at the Netherlands event, but after a last minute change of plans we're also now heading over to Vegas this evening for the ACM BBQ Throwdown. I know some of the forum members will be there so hopefully we'll get a chance to say "hello" in person over the weekend and then also in Zanndam in April.

Good luck to you all for the upcoming competition season.

Cheers,

Steve B

Thanks Steve. Great to meet you and Toby in Vegas on Saturday. Very much appreciate you taking the time out to chat with Viv and I. Hopefully we can get a chance to catch up with you both on the BBQ circuit in the near future.

Cheers,

Steve B
