Hey Everyone,
Tomorrow is world MOINK Ball day. If you don't know what a MOINK Ball is, man have you been missing out on one of life's greatest pleasures.
MOINK Balls are cooked beef meatballs wrapped in bacon, rubbed then BBQ'd and slathered in sauce.
MOO + OINK = MOINK
If you've got your Q on tomorrow, why not make yourself a batch up, if you get some photos and send them over to Larry Gaian at http://thebbqgrail.com/ you'll be joining in the worldwide BBQ event.
Cheers
Steve

I made some MOINK balls today. Here are some pictures. I did them on my Cobb and they turned out pretty nice. I used Apple Wood chips.

They look great!, how many are you feeding
Did you email BBQ Grail to get a post on his site? I was the only one from the UK so far it seems.
I used Sainsbury's ready made meatballs 2 for £4 looks like I saved myself a quid....

I made 60 MOINK balls, was meant to be feeding 10 people but a few had to drop out at the last minute so everyone got a doggy bag too.
I emailed Larry but he's not posted mine up on the site yet.
The best part was the success of my new sauce though. Been struggling to get a call at competition with sauce so I'm trying to do a really good one and this one seems to be getting closer to the mark.

Glad to hear you are nailing the sauce. That could be a movie title lol
I like the food I cook but am yet to taste competition grade and as such am not sure what a judge is looking for, but would love to learn.
On topic I had a thought tonight about a MOINK ball sub sandwich with melted American cheese and BBQ sauce....probably not a new idea but sure would be a tasty treat.
