Basic UDS ready to play with image rich

Well i put her together today Grate is 8 inch from top 24in from charcoal grate bottom which is 2inch off bottom
i got 3 3/4in air vents and cap and a 3/4in ball valve . Lid has got 4 3/4in holes in which i hope to be adding
weber dome lid if i win one on ebay then i can add a second shelve 1in from top .

Term added 1in above grate to give a reading near meat i also adding a small hole for my probe wire for
my electic termo. Charcoal grate is a pro q charcoal holder . as i had a real prob finding expanded metal
and when i did the size and cost of sheet was not practical .

anyways time for a beer now and planning first cook.

Sanded and pre spray

4X 3/4in vents added

Grill added 8 in from top

Termo added 1inch above cooking grate
Image

Final added 4 x 3/4 vents in lid

That looks awesome!
Look forward to seeing how it cooks. I was toying with the idea of making one of these a while ago.
