Re: cheap,good digital thermometer

They are a tad cheaper on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIGITAL-PROBE ... 43ae11e5c4

Pity my local Ikea doesn't stock the probe thermometer as it looks like a bargain

Re: Man dies making BBQ out on an oil barrel

I suppose one of the issues is finding a barrel that is suitable for the job. Whilst there are plenty of food grade ones available on ebay etc I can see why someone would use an oil barrel from a garage.

Re: UDS Oil Drum Sizes

I don't suppose you could provide some more info as to what brand oil drums they were? Finding it impossible to source 60 litre ones anywhere. Tempted to just drive down to whatever garage you got yours from and buy one from them!

Re: What cut of beef is this?

My next outing on the bbq was something a little more simple and it worked quite well. Butterflied chickens in Nandos marinade http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc17 ... 6bc78b.jpg

Re: What cut of beef is this?

Thanks for the replies. I ended up having a stab at cooking it in the kettle.

http://www.partridgeshadleigh.co.uk/cat ... 15_541_543 seems to be cheaper here. I bought my 57cm one touch from them, quick despatch times.

What cut of beef is this?

And how would I cook it?

Asked a butcher I use from time to time for some brisket. He didn't seem too clued up so showed him the wiki article which has a diagram showing where the brisket is located. This is what he got back from his supplier -

Re: UDS Oil Drum Sizes

Thanks for the info. All the local garages I asked only seem to get oil in the larger 45 gallon drums. Will have to keep looking around I guess

Cheers.
