Hello again from Northern Ireland

Been a loooooong time since I jumped in, so thought it best to reintroduce myself.

Hadn't realised just how long it has been (well over 2 years) but I think I'm ready to get stuck in again.

I have a WSM, a Kettle and my loyal little Smokey Joe. Still been smoking the turkey, Christmas mornings and ...

Re: Apps for iphone

Playing a bit of catch-up, so apols this thread is a couple of months old but the app I find most useful and indeed the only one I continue to use Q related, is WeatherPro.
Someone on here recommended it and I seem to remember I had to pay for it but it is by far the best weather predictor I have ...

Re: Is there a problem or am I just too fussy?

10 out of 10 to Weber.
Made the call and they asked me to send them a photo.
Within 10 minutes of making the call Weber confirmed a new lid would be with me by Wednesday.
Stellar customer service.

Is there a problem or am I just too fussy?

Broke out the new 57cm One Touch Premium yesterday and may have noticed a problem.
Right at the bottom of the rim of the lid, a short strip measuring about half a centimetre high and 5 or 6 centimetres long hasn't been covered in the black outer coat.
Is this a problem or am I just being too fussy ...

Re: Smokey Joe

Thanks for all the replies guys.
Been quiet recently but still Q'ing over the winter (including a very successful Christmas dinner turkey) and lurking on here from time to time.
Been busy with an interim role but that has come to an end, so hope to be about here a bit more.
Bought No2 son a OTP for ...

Smokey Joe

Picnic and day trip season is upon us and I am thinking of adding a Smokey Joe to the "fleet."
Anyone got one?
Are they practical? i.e. Are they easy enough to cook on; how many can you feed on one burn and do they cool down quick enough to pack away?
Is the Premium worth the tenner extra?
Anyone ...

Re: First attempet at Pork Loin

Spot on Keith.
You just jogged my memory and I laid bacon on mine too.
Tasty, tasty, very very tasty.
Bought a loin myself for Wednesday and you may have saved the day.
Really should have taken someone's advice when I started smoking last summer and they told me to jot down anything that went well ...
