Charcoal Near Manchester

I've got a friend who has just taken delivery of a proq smoker and he's struggling to find any charcoal at the moment. He's in the Manchester area. If anyone knows of anwhere near by selling charcoal, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: UK Winter BBQing

We are working out a mnore secure method of fixing our gazebo after nearly losing it despite 40Kg of weights on the legs. Due to the wonderful design of our garden we can't put it against the back door but may have to revamp the garden layout in some way for next year................

Keith, would ...

Re: Goat

Funnily enough I've got a leg of goat sat in the oven as I type. I'm with tiny, I'm not convinced that it would behave well under a low n slow smoke.

If you've not tried it before, go easy on the scotch bonnet - goat's a delicious meat and it's worth getting to get to grips with the flavour of the ...

Summmer sausage

First attempt at a summer sausage. I used a mix of pork shoulder and beef chuck. I wanted more beef than pork, but cocked up how much I got out of the freezer so it ended up about 50/50

Re: Smoked Eggs

I cold smoke cooked and raw eggs and the results are very good. For cooked I just hard boil then peel and then smoke. For raw, just cold smoke in their shells, it is surprising how much smoke they take, it does add a certain something to a fried egg. I have a mate with a load of quail and I want to ...
