Pool has 5 european titles, once Fergie retires they'll not be the same team and Liverpool will win league after league with KIng Kenny on board ;)

How many champions league wins have utd?.......once Barca does them in Liverpool will still have 5 ;)

4 of which are from back in the mists of time.

How many Premier League titles have Liverpool got? You can't compare the football of the 70's and 80's with today's game.

Weren't Liverpool going to walk the League a couple of seasons ago after their strong finish ?

And as for King Kenny, he took over a strong team in the mid 80's and had great success until the team went into decline, then he quit. He led Blackburn to one title with massive resources behind him, then the team began to slide and he quit. Newcastle, the team began to slide and he was sacked.

Celtic, I won't even go there.

going on "King" Kenny's record and the state of Liverpool's team at the moment, I expect some investment, maybe one or two seasons of success, maybe even a league title. But then the team will slide and guess what will happen...

Remember the 1989 banner - "Three years of excuses and it's still crap. Ta ra Fergie." .........he was lucky he had the backing of the board of Directors. Without them Ferguson would have been the same a King Kenny, going from club to club. A sucessful club needs stability from the board of directors right down to the youth setup. Utd had that from the 90's onwards and that's what made them always put out a strong squad......Hopefully Pool with have that with Henry, Daglish and Co on board....roll on 2012 and beyond :D

I thought i would point out that liverpool have only won the champions league once and Utd have won it twice. Liverpool won The older European Cup 4 times(much easier then).

I'm pretty close buddy, Wigan as you know and I spent 5 years living a stone's throw away in Salford. I lived on Coronation Street in fact, any fans of the Smiths will know the Salford Lads Club from their videos, it was opposite my bedroom window.

My first sporting passion is Wigan RLFC anyhow.

Wigan is part of Greater Manchester. No probs. Smiths fans? Haven't they all committed suicide yet? Remember the t- shirts with ''meat is murder'' on the front backed with ''but it tastes so good!''

My neighbour had a subscription webcam service pointed at the lads club. Nothing ever happened but he used to make hundreds from Japanese Smiths fans who just wanted to watch the club in real time. Quite surreal really.
