Myron Mixon swears (literally) by it and he's "The Winningest Man in BBQ".

Aris. I had to laugh when I saw this.
Had last week off work for a short break, every evening you could smell the lighter fluid, followed minutes later by the unmistakeble smell of burning sausages. EVERY DAY.

The Chimney Starter has to be the greatest invention of recent years (and I mean not just in BBQ, but generally!) - Makes life so much easier!

When I get out my car every evening I smell this too, feel the need to run about the neighbours educating them.....part of me likes to just waft my sweet smelling pork butts over the fence instead!

After the lighter fluid, I usually smell burned sugar from the dodgy spice rubs the butcher has put on the meat.

Chimney starters ave been around for a while. I remember using one in the early 80's

MJ2K,
Shall we start a campaign?

"wave your aromatic Butt at your neighbours burnt Sausage"?

Perhaps it needs some refinement, fear the meaning may be lost :)

Cheers
