I order most of my meat online or by phone and when it's posted i've never had a problem with it.

Any chance of you sharing with the rest of us of where you source your meats?

I've never ordered any temp controlled food products before, but I'm going to try it out after reading the posts, thanks.

No problem with sharing where i get my meats from, the only problem is where they're a catering butcher they're ok to deal with BBQ teams but no good for people looking for a single piece of meat, i'll PM you the details if you're interested.

Well, we took measurements and it won't fit on the spit, its 4" too long even with its head off so we are going to tie its legs together and try that for size on the bbq. Its going to fit but its also going to cause all sorts of problems and will probably be cooked low and slow(ish) on the Ascona gas grill :(

One of the butchers i've been using a company called Aubrey Allen. They do have a retail website which people can use, i've been asking them to list items like pork butts and packer briskets but they've not done it yet.

I only use these guys for my Brisket and pork butts for comp's, ribs and chicken i get else where.
