As mentioned I work in the bakery at costco so am familiar with the birthday cakes mentioned , they are £12.99 for a16"x20" cake .personalised is free but requires 48hrs notice.
The offers run for two weeks at a time and are usually on throughout the year with the toilet rolls being one of the most popular.
As for spending money, on my first payday there, I took the wife round and spent my wages in one hit

A bit of history , when they first entered the uk, the supermarkets tried to stop them so they agreed to package things differently so as not to be in direct competion with them, hence the pack sizes being bigger tham supermarkets but smaller than a wholesaler.

Well worth a look but as in any shopping some things are cheaper ,some things are dearer.

If you've been to Costco in the US, the pack sizes are the same. In fact EVERYTHING is the same. The store layouts are identical - I feel right at home :-) The product offerings are the same too bar some brand differences.
