My name is Geoff Ryall-Harvey. I'm 53 and retired about 3 years ago to look after our baby daughters as a full time stay at home Dad - got another daugher who's in her late 20's. My other interest is motor cars; I have a Blackjack Avion trike (I run the owners club) and I'm about 85% into the build of a steel 1927 Model T Ford with a huge Pontiac V8 engine. I can post pictures on request if anyone is interested at all.

I have a WFO (wood fired oven) in the back yard and make pizzas, bread, porchetta and other Italian foods.

I've bought all the bits to make an Ugly Drum Smoker (surprising cross over with the hot rod bits - used the guy who does my fuel and brake fittings) and should have it all together in the next 10 days as I have some welding and fabrication skills and lots of useful links with local engineering companies.

Hi Geoff,
welcome, I'm quite new here too.
sounds like a great setup you'll have.
I have a wood fired oven 2, and made a smoker/bbq out of an oil drum, but recently treated myself to a ProQ smoker.
It's a great combination, and you can cook some wonderful meals.
What do you cook on your WFO, apart from the obvious pizza?
Got any pics?
Cheers
Marcus
