Have managed to use my ET73 probe cables through the door without issue. However the range is an issue!

Will be buying an ET732 & IQ110 shortly. Will all 3 cables fit through the top of the door without issue? Don't like the probe through top vent route - leaves only cutting a notch, or drilling holes....which given my DIY skills is not really an option!

Any thoughts really appreciated

I've had four probes through the door without problem, but have installed a 3/8" sensor grommet this year, which makes life a lot easier, and doesn't pinch the probe cables at all.

Hi Matt, sorry not an answer to the post. I'm looking out for a ET732 and saw some £59.99 on amazon. Don't know if this helps.

BBQ Guru make an eyelet kit which allows you to place probes in the smoker and it requires no drilling or anything like that you just replace a couple of the bolts on the side of the WSM and they work perfectly.

There isn't a reseller of BBQ Guru stuff in the UK at the moment but i bought mine from a guy i know in Holland and they only cost me something like £15 delivered.

I thought the new 732 probes didn't fit through the guru eyelets, and that the larger eyelet kit from cajunbandit needed drilling?

I may have misunderstood which is great if that is the case. Are you running 732 probes through your guru eyelets?

Love eyelets, but not capable or confident to drill my smoker.

I've just had a try with an old et732 and sorry to say it doesn't fit

Apologies for getting any hopes up, but i've not used my mavericks for a couple of years now. The other thing i would suggest is just removing the bolt anyway and making sure all of the others are tight and this should give you enough room to get the maverick probes through. But only do this on one side of the smoker as if you did it to both it could make the grill quite unstable.

Never mind Ed, hadn't thought about just poking them through. You redeem yourself from that idea!

Might man up & just drill a hole.....after all, what can really go wrong?

Any chance you can check something for me....

Does the straight pit probe fit through on the 732 & just the curved one that doesn't?

I'd read that 'uncrimping' part of the crimp will allow it to fit through, but then confused as to why everyone only talks about the curved one - would have thought the rear of both probes were the same.

Happy for the probes to live in situ if uncrimp works to get the through.

Already being such a girl about drilling a hole, and not sure i can live with the look of it missing a shelf bolt.
