I haven't but there was a write-up which complained about it being overly scripted, something about three judges all saying the same in unison?

With the wonders of the internet I have seen the first five episodes and I wasn't bowled over. I think as entertainment it works to a certain level but as a BBQ enthusiast (or addict as the Mrs would say) I would have liked to have seen more cooking and prep.
I did find it interesting how the boxes were presented though because some of them did look pish poor for cooks of that caliber.

I noticed some of the boxes looking poor too. I can't remember which series it was in but in one episode, Johnny Trigg didn't even know what pork belly was. In his 50 odd years of BBQing, he'd never seen pork belly. He thought it was beef rib!

One thing that became apparent as I watched the series is that the judges didn't like it when flavour profiles were mixed in a box.
What I mean by that is that some of the cooks decided to offer the two different flavour profiles in the same box and that went down like a lead balloon. The judges wanted everything to taste the same, would that be judged the same way here in the UK?
