Convenience vs Laziness
A long time ago I realised that when my guitars are in their cases, I seldom practice. When they are out on stands, I pick them up all the time.
I decided that a similar thing applied to my grill. When I first bought it, I stored it in the garage when not in use. As a result, I used it a couple of times a month. Earlier this year, I bought a cover for it, and found it a (temporary) permanent place to live. As a result, I started cooking on it a couple of times a week - some weeks, practically every night.
That "temporary" in brackets is there because I had always planned to completely makeover my garden, and then the grill would move to another permanent position. That is going on right now, and has proved my point. When they guys started clearing the garden, they put the grill safely back in the garage, although they made sure to put it at the front, so it was easy to pull out onto the drive. However, that was over a week ago, and I haven't touched the grill since.
Tonight I had burgers for tea, and to my great shame, I cooked them on an electric Foreman-type grill.
I'm terribly sorry.
Still, on the bright side, the BBQ area is going to be great, and I only have another week or so before it is ready. Also, I have promised the guys some BBQ while they are here, so I will have to get the Traeger out sooner or later.
