Rubber seal experiment was a success.

I got this one from Amazon > http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002 ... UTF8&psc=1 and amazingly it did just push on :D

I only put it on the top and sides of the opening.

I had my Danny B on for 8 hours cooking ribs and a brisket (Which tasted great! I still can't get over how easy it is to use), and the top seal started coming off due to heat and gravity, but the sides stayed on fine.

Much better fit (Can't see any gaps now), noticably less smoke from the lid area and used less pellets so heat retention was better. Very pleased with test so I'm now sticking the seals on with heat-proof sealant for a more permanent fix and to stop the top one coming off.

Pete

P.S. Recommend getting a 3mX3m Gazebo if you haven't already as it means I can continue cooking even when it's pouring down. And if the summer is going to be similar to last year, I think it may prove to be an essential purchase.
